The lycée and the Baccalaureate in Mauritania (5AS to 7AS)
The lycée is the second cycle of Mauritanian secondary education: three years, from 5AS to 7AS. 7AS is the Baccalaureate year, sat in a stream: C (mathematics), D (natural sciences), A (modern letters), O (original letters) or TM (mathematical technique).

Choosing a stream
The stream sets which subjects count most for the Baccalaureate. Each stream has its own BacMR page, with its main subjects and what BacMR covers for it.
Revising for the Bac effectively
- Work from the official textbooks: their content is the reference.
- Go through each chapter, then practise with exercises and quizzes.
- Spread revision over the year instead of cramming just before the exam.

BacMR at the lycée: what is covered today
This is the level BacMR is built for. Answers are based on the 7AS textbooks of streams C, D, A (modern letters) and O (original letters), plus some 6AS textbooks. The TM stream is not yet on that list.
Not every subject is covered for every stream yet, and more textbooks are being added. When a question falls outside the available books, BacMR says so instead of guessing.
